Everything seems to be happening in November and it’s all to the wild
chatter of friarbirds outside my treetop home. They wake me, far too early,
leaping about on the rosy flowering grevillias. Alchemy of Colour website has been years it seems in the remaking although not really, but thanks to my dear website designer Carla who has been incredibly patient with me we are off and running.
Since I am always wanting to have artwork in the pipeline or am working
towards some exhibition or other most of the time in my studio,
brings together a collection of my artworks inspired by the Great River Road which follows the Murray River upstream from the city of Albury. Up towards the mountains. I have travelled this road for 45 years and the 30 wall works in collaged eco printed fabrics, paint and mixed media carry the feeling of that place. The exhibition Great River Road Obsession opens November 8th 6pm, with an Artists talk Sat 9th 11am at Davis Cottage, Corryong Victoria. Showing through to mid December. Find out more:
A big shout out to India Flint whose work and mastery of the eco print, which she discovered, has moved so many people and become the income stream of many. I have been blessed to find her work and to be a student at the online school of nomad arts this year.
India Flint is a rare and inspired being whose imagination and creativity is boundless. If you find the opportunity to study with her just do it.
